GNC To Close Possibly 900 Stores, Mostly In Malls

If you are a GNC junkie, your days may be numbered. Due to slow traffic in malls, the company is planning on closing anywhere from 700 to 900 stores. It is not known at this time if that will include a location inside of Courtland Center in Burton, or the Genesee Valley Center location in Flint Township.

According to Chairman and CEO Ken Martindale, the stores involved will close by 2020. Do you shop at either of the above Genesee County locations? If these stores do not make the cut, will you be losing a job, or know someone that will?

I cannot remember the last time I was in a GNC, but I know plenty of people that do go - but obviously not enough.
