Goodrich Student Raises Alopecia Awareness With Hat Sales

A Goodrich High School student is raising awareness and money for Alopecia. If you are not familiar, Alopecia areata is a common autoimmune skin disease, causing hair loss on the scalp, face and sometimes on other areas of the body.

Emily Koon is asking the community to purchase hats that read 'BALD IS BEAUTIFUL' and wear them January 19th at both the Goodrich girls and guys varsity basketball games. The hats sell for just $20, with all proceeds benefiting the National Alopecia Areata Foundation. You are beautiful Emily, inside and out! What a great cause.
