Grant Helps Midland County Sheriff’s Office Purchase New Equipment [VIDEO]

The Midland Area Community Foundation has stepped up to make police jobs a little bit safer in Midland County. They have given the Midland County Sheriff's Office a grant to purchase "go bags."

The 26 new "go bags" will include ballistic helmets, paneling for bullet proof vests, extra ammo, and a first aid kit. The cost of the new equipment is just over $37,000.

This grant will free up some budgeted money that can now be used to upgrade patrol rifles.
