Halo Burger, which first opened its doors in Flint, Michigan, back in 1923, is now bringing its iconic flavors to metro Detroit.

The restaurant originally went by the name Kewpee and got its start serving burgers out of a boxcar-style wagon in downtown Flint. Fast forward to 2025, and Halo Burger will be serving olive burgers and more in Clinton Township.

Chances are, plenty of people in that area have yet to experience the deliciousness of a QP Burger from Halo Burger.

Where is Halo Burger opening in Clinton Township?

The newest Halo Burger can be found at 41554 Garfield Road, between Canal and 18 Mile Roads.

The restaurant officially opened today, Monday, June 30th, 2025.

The response on social media has been fantastic. People who’ve moved from the Genesee County area to metro Detroit are thrilled to see Halo Burger making its way to Macomb County.

Here’s a fun Halo Burger fact - did you know the Birch Run location serves beer? Sure, a QP Double goes perfectly with a Boston Cooler, but it’s even better when enjoyed alongside an ice-cold beer.

What other locations does Halo Burger have throughout Michigan?

I am excited for everyone trying Halo Burger for the first time. Trust me, you will be hooked; it’s that good.
