High Times Cannabis Cup Is Returning to Flint Area

The High Times Cannabis Cup, which is revered as the greatest marijuana expo in the world, is coming to Clio, Michigan again for the second year in a row. The event, sponsored by High Times Magazine, will take place later this summer at the Michigan Auto Speedway.

The two-day medical marijuana trade show will happen August 22-23, 2015 at the main complex of the Speedway. Inside cannabis fans can enjoy booths selling stoner essentials from glassware to grow equipment, as well as a selection of artwork. The event will feature “a wide array of vendors, live entertainment, VIP experiences, seminars and classes taught by our world-renown cultivation editors, special guests to be announced and more,” according to the website.

Earlier last year, Dan Skye, High Times editorial director, said that with the cannabis industry expanding, it is important that people see the normalization of this plant.

“Michigan really needs something like this. There’s no reason the cannabis industry should have a harness on it. It’s jobs — it’s as simple as that,” he said.
