Indoor Michigan Dog Park Featuring Booze And Food In The Works
If you have been looking for a reason to get a dog, here it is. A new dog park, with a bar is hoping to be ready for business this October. The Pack Indoor Dog Park is located in Comstock Park, which is very close to Grand Rapids.
Who would have thought you may now need a designated driver to take your pet to a dog park? What a time to be alive. If you are not familiar with Comstock Park, it takes roughly an hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours to get there from the Flint area - depending on traffic of course.
My sister Tuesday lives there, so I am very familiar with the area. If you don't want to drive there and back in one day, there are plenty of hotel options, and you also have the option to stay in Grand Rapids too, since it is so close.
The dog park will be big, I am talking a 10,000-square-feet. The bar will overlook a play area for the dogs. According to ABC 12, all dogs will be grouped by personality. Has your dog ever taken a personality test? The Park Indoor Dog Park is described as follows on its Facebook page,
Michigan's first off leash indoor dog park, bar, restaurant, and daycare opening in 2020 in Comstock Park. Open space for dogs to run and play and space for human socializing, drinking, and eating.
Sounds good to me, except for one thing. I don't have a dog. I guess I will have to get one, or take Scout - my sister Tuesday's dog. That sounds like a plan, day drinking with the dogs.
In order to open, The Pack Indoor Park is now waiting on approval from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. In the meantime, get your dog ready - I have a good feeling about this.
