International Clown Convention Comes To California

If you are down with clowns this is all you.  If you are afraid of clowns, then this is your worst nightmare!  Clowns from around the world are attending the "Clowns of America International Convention" in California.

This is no joke, this is an actual convention.  Over 300 clowns will be attendance.  The clowns will attend classes on the following:

• Costume Design
• Face Painting
• Balloon Twisting/Balloon Animals

That doesn't sound to bad.  I have been to conventions with nothing but speakers day after day, BORING.  I would of much rather twisted a balloon or honked a damn clown horn!

This clown association is legit!  I checked out their website, Clowns Of America International and they have awards for "Clown Of The Year" and "Excellence In Clowning".  The COAI also provides scholarships.  Good to know.  If you are funny and like big shoes, you might have a future as a clown!

They even have face painting competition.  I am going to enter Chris Monroe in that! He needs a clown name though.  How about " SMOKEY THE CLOWN"?  I will be "WHISKEY THE CLOWN".

In all seriousness (can you talk seriously about clowns?) clowns do provide a lot of encouragement to people in hospitals and festivals which is pretty cool.
