Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Head Coach Todd Bowles had to issue a little refresher to a local reporter who wasn't aware that the Detroit Lions play indoors. "They got a dome," he quipped.

Weather has been a factor as recently as last weekend (1/14) when the Buffalo Bills/Pittsburgh Steelers game had to be postponed after a blizzard dumped several feet of snow in the Bills' home stadium.

Detroit Lions Play Indoors

But in Detroit, weather isn't really a problem, as Ford Field is an indoor stadium. The Lions are scheduled to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Lions' second home playoff game in as many weeks this Sunday.

So a question from a journalist in Tampa was particularly perplexing to Bowles, who knows that there's a dome over Ford Field.

Reporter Didn't Get the Memo

Here's what the reporter asked Bowles at a press conference Tuesday (1/16):

"Today, it’s 13 degrees in Detroit, which doesn’t compare to some of the temperatures (inaudible), any special plans to acclimate the team to not only endure, but perform in those kind of frigid temperatures, should you face them in Detroit?”

The Head Coach's response wasn't exactly mean, but you can tell from the awkward silence that the reporter was embarrassed.

"You do know we play indoors, right? They got a dome," Bowles said. "I don’t, no, nothing planned. We’re indoors and only have to be outside for 20 seconds, getting off the bus, going under the thing. So, we’ll be okay.”
