Michigan Woman Crashes Into Ulta After Police Chase
Well, this wasn’t exactly the kind of beauty run anyone had in mind. A 26-year-old Michigan woman is facing multiple felony charges after leading police on a wild chase that ended inside an Ulta Beauty store.
How The Police Chase Started
It all started early Sunday morning when officers pulled over Katrina Patterson, who allegedly had an open container of alcohol in her SUV. When asked for her license, she hit the gas instead. Because nothing says 'I’m totally sober' like running from the cops at midnight.
The Chase Through Royal Oak
Royal Oak Police say Patterson’s white SUV was first spotted driving on train tracks near W. Fourth and S. Center roads around 12:40 a.m. From there, things went downhill.. or rather, through the front doors of Ulta Beauty on Woodward Avenue.

Even after the crash, Patterson didn’t stop. Police say she kept trying to escape, ramming a patrol car and doing more damage inside the store before her vehicle finally got stuck. Chief Michael Moore said they’re 'extremely fortunate' no one was seriously injured during the chaos.

Patterson was arrested at the scene. Her passenger was cited for open alcohol and released. Police believe she was driving under the influence.
Facing Serious Charges
She’s now facing several charges, including fleeing and eluding, assaulting and resisting police, two counts of felonious assault, and multiple property destruction charges. Her bond was set at $50,000, and she’s due back in court November 21.

A word of advice: if your night ends with a trip through a beauty store window and a $50,000 bond, maybe it’s time to put down the keys... and the cocktail.
