
Suspect Arrested After Vandalism at Swartz Creek High School
It has been a rough school year for residents in the Swartz Creek school district. From resignations on the school board and investigations into alleged secret meetings, to a major railroad crossing closure causing delays for weeks, not to mention multiple snow days.
Another Incident During a Difficult Year for Swartz Creek Schools
But on Friday, something else left the community raising eyebrows. ABC 12 reported that Swartz Creek High School on Dragon Drive was vandalized.

An investigation was conducted by the Metro Police Authority, which has jurisdiction over the City of Swartz Creek as well as Mundy Township, where the department’s headquarters is located.
Police Investigation Finds Vandalism at Swartz Creek High School, And a Suspect
Police say that during the early morning hours of Friday, March 6, someone spray painted graffiti on the outside of the main structure at Swartz Creek High School and across several windows.

Following their investigation, the Metro Police Authority confirmed that a suspect has been taken into custody.
School Officials Say Students and Staff Were Never in Danger
Administrators at Swartz Creek Community Schools released the following statement to the public:
Swartz Creek High School was vandalized overnight. The Metro Police Authority conducted an investigation and has notified the district that a suspect has been apprehended. At no time were students or staff in danger. We appreciate the quick response and support from the Metro Police Authority.
At this point, police have not released information about the suspect or any details about possible criminal charges.
