Detroit Tigers’ Jason Benetti to Host Charity Comedy Show
The Detroit Tigers have announced that announcer Jason Benetti will be the host of a comedy show for charity.
Let me start by saying that I am SUCH a fan of this. Jason Benetti constantly brings a smile to my face even on days the team can't.
If you're unfamiliar with Jason Benetti, first of all, familiarize yourself ASAP. To help, I've embedded some of my favorite moments of his with the Tigers organization.
The comedy show is called 'Hits and Giggles', and it is taking place at the Detroit House of Comedy on July 11.
Per the Detroit Tigers release, Tigers players and professional comedians will be in attendance. The profits from the show will be going to the Detroit Tigers Foundation and The Children's Center art therapy program, a local nonprofit that specializes in youth mental health.
The event is limited to those ages 21 and up. Tickets can be found here. But be warned, they're not cheap. Prices range from $350-$500. However, the ticket price isn't just for the show.
The $350 standard ticket includes a buffet and open bar ahead of the show, plus access to the post-show celebration on Columbia Street. As for the $500 VIP package— that comes with preferred seating, access to a VIP Cocktail Hour with a buffet and open bar, a Tigers-branded tote bag and specialty baseball bat cup, an event poster signed by Jason Benetti, and admission to the “Extra Innings” post-show celebration on Columbia Street. And, most importantly, the money goes to amazing local charities.
While you wait for July 11, you can listen to Benetti's podcast with Dan Dickerson 'Have A Seat with Jason Benetti and Dan Dickerson' that is sure to be as equally charming and funny as his upcoming show.
