Fans of the MCU and DCEU often tend to be at each other’s throats online whenever a new movie from one of the studios comes out, and with Thor: Ragnarok cleaning up at the box office and Justice League on the way in a week, the debates are getting heated. Marvel boss Kevin Feige, for his part, doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about.

In an interview with Crave, Feige went ahead and told Marvel and DC fans to stop fighting with each other, that this was the antithesis of what superheroes are supposed to teach us, and that the folks behind the scenes at both studios tend to get along perfectly well.

I think it’s ridiculous. I think movies are awesome and people should go out and support awesome movies, and I go support those movies and I thought Wonder Woman was awesome…I can’t wait to see what Geoff Johns and Joss [Whedon] and the gang has done with Justice League. I guess people like rivalries, I guess? I don’t know. But I’m seeing Geoff Johns in a couple weeks for dinner. We went to this [Richard] Donner event together. Dick’s Superman is still the best archetype of superhero films. So yeah, just go see cool movies. What are you fighting about?

So there, comic fans. I doubt Thor or Superman would appreciate us going at each other on the internet all the time. Well, actually, Thor might find it hilarious, but the point is, even the makers of these movies think it’s silly to fight over stuff like this.
