When Kid Rock has announced a show at Comerica Park for Friday, August 12th, he hinted that another being added was a real possibility. Looks like Kid fans will have their prayers answered and he will play back-to-back shows at the home of the Tigers.

Rock took the modest approach when announcing the first show in a press conference, saying that they had Comerica on hold for the whole weekend but he wanted to make sure there was need for a second date. As if there has been a show he hasn't sold out in the D in the past five years. The key phrase that stuck out to me in that statement was "whole weekend", does this mean that a third show is possible? Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

A full day before tickets were available to the general public, a second night at Comerica was added due to the overwhelming amount of tickets sold to Friday's show through the Kid Rock Congregation (fan club whose members can already buy tickets). The new show will be the next night; Saturday, August 13th with Sammy Hagar and The Wabos opening that show as well as the first night's. The fan club ticket presale starts today at 9:30am, but tickets go on sale to the public this Saturday (June 11) at 10am. Tickets can be purchased at Tickets.com, LiveNation.com, the Comerica Park box office and select Meijer stores, and will be available for $30.00, $49.50 and $79.50. Fans can also purchase the deal of the summer – a 6-pack of Party Deck tickets for only $99.00. VIP tickets that include a limited edition Kid Rock Tigers jersey will be available as well.
