Congratulations are in order for Korn bassist Reginald Arvizu — better known to fans as Fieldy — as he and his wife Dena are expecting the birth of their second child this month. According to Korn’s website, “things are happening a little sooner than planned” with the baby, so Fieldy has decided to drop out of some tour dates in Europe.

Korn has tapped Mudvayne bassist Ryan Martinie to fill-in for Fieldy. Martinie is known for his complex playing style and will no doubt do a great job with Korn. “The Korn guys are glad to have Ryan onboard, and are very happy for Fieldy and his family’s new arrival,” states Korn’s website.

After Korn conquers Europe, they hit the high waters as co-headliners of the ShipRocked 2012 cruise. Co-headlining with Korn will be Godsmack, and they’ll be joined by bands like Five Finger Death Punch, P.O.D., Sevendust and more.

Before the cruise sets sail, lead singer Jonathan Davis will set his Korn duties to the side to focus on his electronic solo project, J Devil. As he gears up for the release of his EP, he will be opening for the ‘Twins of Evil‘ tour featuring Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson.
