Lapeer County Trick-Or-Treat Times 2022
Trick-or-Treat smell my feet, give me something good to eat.
In a perfect world, Halloween would fall on a Saturday. No such luck - October 31st lands on a Monday. I can hear parents sighing (and swearing) as I type. How do you possibly get a kid to go to bed after an evening of trick-or-treating?
One saving grace for parents of excited kids is that throughout Lapeer County, trick-or-treating ends by 8:00 PM and in some cases, 7:00 PM.
As you will see below some places in Lapeer County only host trick-or-treaters for one hour, the maximum is two hours. The exact times are as follows,
- Brown City - October 31st, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- Columbiaville - October 31st, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- Hadley - October 31st, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Imlay City - October 31st, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Lapeer - October 31st, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Mayville - October 31st, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- Metamora - October 31st, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- North Branch - October 31st, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Otter Lake - October 31st, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
If you are not a fan of Halloween and do not plan on handing out candy, turn your porch light off to avoid trick-or-treaters.
All Halloween night drivers, please be cautious on the roads. Slow down and be aware of kids walking through neighborhoods and walking near roads. If you and your kids have reflectors, wear them. If you don't have any reflectors, get some.
When it comes to inspecting your kid's candy bags and buckets - my dad always told me Snickers and Reeces Peanut Butter Cups were deadly. Is that still true?
Have a safe and Happy Halloween.
