Lapeer DDA Hosting Online Photo Challenge

Calling all photographers, the Lapeer DDA is hosting an online photo challenge. This months theme is 'red'. Participants are encouraged to visit downtown Lapeer and take photos that incorporate the monthly theme. This is a great opportunity to check out Lapeer, some great businesses, and show off your creativity.

The 'red' theme for February incorporates Valentine's Day, as well as National Heart Month. This does not mean you have to have to submit a heart picture by any means. Get creative, use your imagination to capture a winning shot.

Once you have chosen a picture to submit, post it on the Lapeer DDA Facebook  page. Your photo might be selected to be featured in the Lapeer DDA monthly newsletter.

This could be a fun thing for your whole family to do together. Make a day of it. Head downtown, snap some pictures, and grab dinner. It would be cool to see one of your kids photos make the newsletter. According to The County Press, at the end of the year, the Lapeer DDA will host a community vote, with the photographer of the winning picture scoring a gift card to a downtown Lapeer restaurant, or business of their choice.
