Detroit Lions Part Ways With WR Golden Tate
With the NFL trade deadline later tonight the Detroit Lions made a move that some fans are not happy with.
The Lions sent high profile wide receiver Golden Tate to the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles for a third-round draft pick in the 2019 draft. The Lions are in last place almost halfway through the season in a semi-weak NFL Central division and the team is looking to shake things up a bit. Moving Tate might just do that.
The move will also allow more looks to receivers Marvin Jones (under contract until 2020) and second-year player Kenny Golladay more time on the field. Tate has not been happy with the production of the offense this year, and was headed for free agency at the end of the season. We just have to wait and see if the Lions are going to make more deals before the deadline at midnight tonight?
