Local Bars Collecting Athletic Shoes and Hoodies For Homeless

Spring cleaning often means cleaning out your closet(s). If you happen to come across hoodies and athletic (tennis shoes) that you no longer wear, please consider donating those items to benefit area homeless people.

The Bridging the Gap & Donations With Love Foundation have teamed with the Angel Network to collect athletic shoes and hoodies for men, women, and kids. You can donate gently used or brand new items - all sizes.

You can drop off your donations at the following awesome local businesses,

• Scooter Bar & Grill
• Sherman's Lounge
• Shiner's Dive Bar & Grill 
• The Wooden Keg

Now that is a total win win, you can drop off a donation and grab a beer and a bite to eat. Even better, hit all three drop box locations and grab a drink at each (with a designated driver of course).

I thank you in advance for your generous donations. Again, please keep in mind all hoodies and athletic shoes should be gently used or brand new. No holes and rips. Shout out to all of the people involved, from the bar owners and staff, to the charity organizations. This is a great idea, and I will be making a donation very soon - and having a shot of tequila of course.
