Machine Shop, Ironsnake, Avalon Black Score My City Awards

Three of my absolute favorites are My City Choice Award 2020 winners! According to My City, there were over 13,00 votes in close to 150 categories.

Not a surprise to see The Machine Shop was voted Best Live Music Venue. The band that rules my world, Ironsnake was awarded Best Local Cover Band, and my good friends in Avalon Black were voted Best Local Band. Hell yes!

If you are not familiar with the My City Choice Awards, they are voted by the public. Believe me when I tell you there is a category for everything. Best Barbecue, Best Bloody Mary, Best Hardware, Best Pet Groomer, Best Caterer, even an award for Best Plumber. Special shout out to my friends at Timothy's Pub for winning 'Best Happy Hour'. I can tell you from personal experience, that is indeed true.

This 'best of' list is a great way to discover a new restaurant or business that you have never been to. If you make it a goal to hit every place on the winner list, you are going to be busy for a while.

As for The Machine Shop, Ironsnake and Avalon Black winning, I could not be happier. Well, one thing would make me happier - being able to go to The Machine Shop to watch Ironsnake and Avalon Black play live. I know it will happen, I just wish it was sooner than later.
