Made in Michigan! Did you know a company in the Upper Peninsula is responsible for making all of the March Madness NCAA basketball courts?
That's right - every court your favorite college basketball teams play on is made and manufactured in the Great Lakes State.
Have you ever heard of Amasa, Michigan? If your answer is no, you are not alone. Amasa is located in Iron County and is home to a very small number of Michiganders.
According to News Advocate Manistee, the population in Amasa is roughly 250 people. The small town is also the home of Connor Sports, the company responsible for building the NCAA basketball courts.
Connor Sports in Michigan Creates NCAA March Madness Basketball Courts
Since 2006, Connor Sports has built basketball flooring for men's and women's NCAA tournaments, the Final Four, and the NBA.
Talk about something to be proud of. According to the official Connor Sports website, the company opened in 1872, and created its first basketball court in 1914.

Connor Sports is located at 251 Industrial Park Road in Amasa, Michgian. As a point of reference, Amasa is a 15-minute drive from Crystal Falls, Michigan.
