Maren Morris Calls Out Michigan Fan Who Grabbed Her Butt

Singer Maren Morris recently performed in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and called out a fan for inappropriately grabbing her butt.

The incident occurred at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park on August 21, 2025, during a meet-and-greet.

Morris shared the following message via Instagram after the fact.

Hi y’all. Tonight’s show was so fun, but someone grabbed my ass during the meet-and-greet before the show.

I’m going to continue them because one person shouldn’t ruin it for everyone, but please know I’m there to connect, share, hug, all the things, but please don’t override someone’s personal space. love you.

How creepy.

I am surprised she is fine with hugging fans, period. More often than not, a meet-and-greet involves a handshake and a photo - not a hug, let alone a butt grab.

When I had the chance to meet Bon Jovi, I noticed that Jon Bon Jovi kept his hands respectfully behind his back during every fan photo. It struck me as a thoughtful and professional gesture, an example of how to interact with fans while maintaining clear boundaries. Smart move.

It is unclear if the person was called out at the time of the alleged butt grab, but I would certainly hope so. No one has to take that from anyone - famous or not.

This was Morris' second show this summer in Michigan. The My Church singer performed at Pine Knob in Clarkston in June with Maroon 5.

It may seem like common sense, but it is essential to state it clearly: it is never okay to grab or touch someone without their explicit consent. Everyone deserves to have their personal space respected, no matter the situation.
