Mastodon Releases Official Music Video For ‘Curl Of The Burl’

Grab an axe and lace up your boots because Mastodon is about to take you on a drug-fueled logging trip through the forest in the brand new video for 'Curl of the Burl'.

Mastodon recently posted a video to accompany each song on their album 'The Hunter'. Those videos, along with the songs, are streaming ahead of it's September 27th release. Where those play more like audio visual companions to the song (and good ones at that), the new video for 'Curl of the Burl' trades the metaphorical drug-induced hallucinatory imagery for actual drug-induced hallucinatory imagery.

Watch as a dirty old lumberjack shares lines of blow with his hand, grows extra arms, eats some shrooms, kills a cougar with a boulder, and becomes the Brawny paper towel guy. We still have no idea what the song is about, but the ridiculously funny video solidifies our suspicions that it's got something to do with drugs.
