Progressive metal outfit Mastodon are no strangers to making weird music videos, previous outings have seen them everywhere from the circus fun house to the depths of outer space. With some help from Adult Swim, their latest for the song 'Deathbound' takes them into Mr. Rogers' neighborhood and even down to Fraggle Rock.

Adult Swim has been making some of the most entertaining late night television with their over the top shows like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, and Metalocalypse. Now the folks down at Williams Street have lent their talents to Mastodon for the music video to 'Deathbound'. The song is an unreleased track that was left over from the sessions for their 2009 album 'Crack the Skye'.

This is not the first time that Mastodon has teamed with Adult Swim; they also contributed the song 'Cut You Open with a Linoleum Knife' to 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters'. The song served as the movie's opening sequence and was probably the funniest part of the entire thing. The band Dethklok, the real life version of the fictional band from 'Metalocalypse', even co-headlined a tour with Mastodon in 2009.

The band is set to release fifth full-length studio album 'The Hunter' in October 2011. Until then check out their hilarious video, helmed by the folks at Adult Swim, which pokes fun at multiple kids shows like 'The Muppets'.
