MI Course Offers Unlimited Golf for $15 to Essential/Front Line Workers
A northern Michigan golf course is offering unlimited golf to essential workers.
UPDATE: At the time of writing this, golf carts were still not permitted on courses. Some of those rules have changed to allow carts with certain restrictions. You may want to call ahead and follow on social media to find out what the rules are at each particular course.
Treetops Resort has stepped up to thank all the essential and front line workers with a great deal on golf. Now through May 15th, all essential workers and front line workers can get unlimited golf on the Tradition course for just $15 per day. That is an amazing deal!
When golfing on the course, certain rules will apply to keep employees and golfers safe. Golf carts are still not permitted on the course for the time being, so golfers will have to walk the course (See update above for details on carts.) Tee times are also required to be book ahead of time to ensure enough time for social distancing recommendations.
All other golfers are in for a great deal on golf as well. Prices are $25 for 18 holes and $15 for 9 holes and fees must be paid at the time of booking the tee time. To book your tee time, call 1-866-529-5148.
Rules and situations may change as the restrictions and executive orders change. Be sure to check Treetops Resort's Facebook page and new YouTube page for updates.
It is definitely a crazy time right now and all the rules on golfing are up in the air when it comes to carts and the number of people in them. Personally, golf is one of my getaways and am glad I can at least walk the courses right now. I would love to see the protocols come along that would make it possible for the Bad Golfers League to return. As for now we just have to wait and see.
Either way, I'll wave to you on the course one way or another!
