I'm still trying to get a full understanding of what recently happened in Detroit when a mother accidentally shot her own child while she was arguing with a neighbor. Here's what we know so far.

According to WXYZ, just before 8 p.m. on Monday night a Detroit woman was arrested after she accidentally shot her 20-month-old daughter during an argument with a neighbor.

Apparently, the mother was having some sort of an argument with the neighbor that dealt with incorrect food delivery. It's not exactly clear as to the exact details of the dispute or who got incorrect food delivered where. Regardless, the neighbor was holding a hammer while arguing, so things obviously got pretty heated. The mother who is a CPL holder fired shots. I don't think she fired at the woman, I believe they were like warning shots or something. Well, one of the bullets managed to hit the toddler that was sitting in a gray Charger.

When police arrived on the scene to address the confrontation, they found the toddler had been shot. I can only imagine the chaos that broke out when the mother realized what she had done.

The toddler was taken to a hospital by police and is in critical condition. It's an absolute miracle the child survived.

I wish I had more details but that's all we've got at the moment.

It's pretty crazy how fast a simple argument over food can turn almost deadly.
