MI Woman Rescued After Jumping in Cold Lake to Save Bird

A Michigan woman's holiday weekend almost ended in tragedy after she decided to jump into Walled Lake to save a bird in distress.

According to ABC12, A Marine Unit boat was patrolling the lake on Saturday around 2:20 p.m. when a boater started waving over deputies. The boat operator said the woman jumped into the water and quickly became fatigued and was having a tough time staying afloat due to the cold water temperature.

They were able to eventually pull the woman to safety but she refused medical attention and hopped back on the pontoon from which she previously jumped from. I'm only jumping to conclusions (and not judging) when I say she had to have been drinking because who in their right mind would jump into those cold waters to save a bird. I love animals but I'm not risking my life for a one, sorry.
