Michigan, Bundle Up: Another Deep Freeze Is on the Way
Well, get ready, Michigan—Mother Nature is about to send another Arctic blast our way. We're talking freezing cold temps that'll have you wishing and praying for an early spring.
While things are expected to get really cold over the next couple of days, it's nothing compared to what we will face next week.
This week, the coldest daytime temperature Mid-Michigan will have to endure is on Tuesday, when things will only climb to 19 degrees. Later in the week, temps will linger in the 30s, with Thursday topping out around 37. That will feel like a heatwave compared to what's coming next week.
If you're in the Upper Peninsula, get ready for cold temps and lots of snow this week. The western part of the UP could see up to two feet of snow.
Certain areas along Lake Michigan could see a foot of snow over the next couple of days.
Arctic Blast to Hit Michigan Next Week
If you're not a fan of extreme cold temperatures, you won't like what's coming next week. All of Michigan will be in a deep freeze.
Mid-Michigan will experience single-digit overnight temps, and we may even drop into the negative digits for a night or two. Daytime temps next week will be in the single digits and teens for the entire week. Tuesday will be the coldest day, as temps will only climb to 8 degrees. With temps that cold, you won’t want to leave the house.
Look, it's winter in Michigan, so experiencing cold temps like this is nothing new, especially in January and February. Just remember, March is right around the corner, and things will start warming up again.
