Which Holiday Decorations Did Hobby Lobby Remove From Its Shelves?
According to Snopes, Hobby Lobby discontinued several seasonal product lines, including decorations for Hanukkah, Mardi Gras, and Halloween.
Why Would Hobby Lobby Discontinue These Holiday Items?
As you can imagine, several rumors are circulating on social media as to the reason why the company would stop selling Jewish merchandise for the eight-day Hanukkah holiday. However, we're not here to add speculation or fuel to the fire.
All we can tell you is what the company says about its reason for pulling Hanukkah, Mardi Gras, and Halloween decorations from its shelves. Their reason is lack of space and lack of interest in the products.
Hobby Lobby:
The decision on what to offer our customers are based on many factors, including customer interest and what sells well. Our seasonal merchandise assortment carried at Hobby Lobby is constantly changing, and they evaluate it annually. Due to the need to find additional space for some of our stronger categories as well as our newer ones, the decision was made over the last couple of years to discontinue several seasonal product lines, including Mardi Gras, Halloween and Hanukkah.
They also claim the decision was made before the 2022 season.
The popular arts and crafts retail chain still has plenty to offer its customers, just not if you're looking for Hanukkah, Mardi Gras, or Halloween decorations.
