As a police officer, I would have to imagine the last thing you would ever want to do is arrest your own child. Well, an East Jordan officer had to do just that recently.

According to WDIV, police had been following three 19-year-olds while investigating multiple store and car break-ins involving the 3 men (allegedly). After breaking into a gas station and smashing the front window the men were arrested by an East Jordan officer. One of the suspects, Nicholas Seese, is the son of the arresting officer.

Charlevoix County Sheriff Chuck Vondra said "He arrested the three young men, including his son. It’s a tough decision, it’s a tough spot to be in, but he did the absolute right thing and the people of East Jordan should be proud of him.”

At the end of the day, he knew this was the best thing for his son before falling further down the rabbit hole. Even though he faces 3 felony charges, you know he'll be better off in the long run, hopefully.

I can't imagine having to stare at my own son while putting handcuffs on him.
