Michigan Ranks Number One On Twitter Of People Wanting To Quit jobs
Spoiler alert - people post about anything and everything on social media. You know what I am talking about, we see it everyday - the good the bad and the ugly. From breakups to birthdays and everything in between, it did not happen if it is not tweeted or posted.
If you didn't think your tweets and or posts are being tracked - think again. For example, it was recently revealed via Twitter data trends show that Michigan residents tweet the most about leaving their jobs. Following behind Michigan on the top 10 list of states where people talk about quitting their current job is as follows,
- Michigan
- Georgia
- Arizona
- Oregon
- Texas
- North Carolina
- Louisiana
- South Carolina
- Florida
- Tennessee
Hey, if your not first your last right? All kidding aside, it is really not a great list to be number one on. All it says to me is that a lot of fellow Michiganders hate their jobs. Sure some folks could just be bitching just to bitch, but my guess is that unfortunately a lot of people, maybe even you are just plain miserable.
One thing I do wonder about is employers seeing 'I want to quit my job' tweets from their employees. Or what about this scenario - you do actually quit, and a potential employer checks out your social media profile and sees a previous post about you wanting to quit your last job. Like it or not, most employers and potential employers will check us out on social media. Sure you can set your profiles on private, but is that more of a red flag? It shouldn't be - but you never know.
You know what, it's your life, your social media - you do you! If you are curious, you can see the top 10 highest paying jobs in Michigan below.
