Are All Michigan Rite Aid Locations Closing?
More Rite Aid Michigan closures were announced earlier this week, and rumor has it all locations in the Great Lakes State will be closing.
I have read countless posts about this online, and have not been able to confirm - but all signs point to yes, this will indeed be happening.
According to the Detroit Free Press, many Rite Aid employees claim the stores will close in Michigan, and all prescriptions will be transferred to Walgreens.
The most recent Rite Aid stores in Michigan set to close are as follows,
- Livonia (37399 Six Mile Road)
- Burton (G4033 Fenton Road)
- Burton (6026 Lapeer Road)
- Flint (4519 Richfield Road)
- Ludington (936 E Ludington Avenue)
- Wyandotte (1998 Biddle Avenue)
- Spring Lake (603 E Savidge Street)
- Bay City (3880 Wilder Road)
- Marlette (2985 Main Street)
- Grosse Pointe Farms (107 Kercheval Avenue)
- Milford (640 N Milford Road)
- Allen Park (15411 Southfield Road)
I read on the Lapeer News & Discussion Facebook page that the Rite Aid locations in Lapeer and Imlay City will also be closing.
One person stated that the aim is to close all Rite Aid locations in Michigan by September.
As a regular shopper at Rite Aid, I am saddened, especially for the employees who will be losing their jobs.
We will continue to keep you updated regarding any further announcements about Rite Aid closures.
