Getting a shoutout from the mayor of Flavortown? Now that is a serious compliment.

One Michigan restaurant has the special honor of making the list of Guy Fieri-approved spots from every state.

Most people probably know who Guy Fieri is, but in case you’ve just landed on Earth, he’s a chef and the host of the hit Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Fieri has hosted Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives for 18 years and visited more than his fair share of restaurants across the U.S., so when it comes to picking top spots in every state, the guy knows his stuff.

The Michigan restaurant that received the Guy Fieri seal of approval is in Ferndale. Any guesses as to what it may be?

The Oakland County restaurant has been 'buzzing' since 2004 and has a very unique name.

If you said The Fly Trap, you nailed it. The Fly Trap made Guy Fieri's list of approved restaurants in every state.

As you'll see in the video below, when Fieri stopped by The Fly Trap in 2008, he highlighted one of their most popular dishes, the red chili salmon burger.

Of course, the red chili salmon burger remains on the menu, along with breakfast options, salads, additional burgers, sides, and more.

Congrats to The Fly Trap for earning a spot on Guy Fieri’s list of approved restaurants in every state, like I said, that’s quite a compliment.

Have you been to The Fly Trap in Ferndale? If so, what is your favorite dish?

The Fly Trap is located at 22950 Woodward Avenue, 48220.
