Michigan Teen Killed In Times Square Car Crash
Just before noon yesterday, a man drove his car down the sidewalk near Times Square injuring at least 22 people and killing one. The 18-year-old that was killed was Alyssa Elsman of Portage, Michigan.
Alyssa and her 13-year-old sister were struck by the car, but luckily her younger sister survived. The Michigan family were tourists visiting Times Square.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested after the car was stopped by a security barrier. Twenty-six-year-old Richard Rojas is a Navy veteran from the Bronx. According to authorities, he was hearing voices in his head at the time of the incident.
