Michigan’s Biggest Indoor Waterpark Opening Soon – What You Need to Know
Keep the bathing suit at the ready as a major expansion is taking place at a Mid-Michigan waterpark.
An $80 million expansion will transform a local establishment into a massive attraction for Michiganders. More than 20 new attractions like water slides and a swim-up bar will open to the public later this year.
Where is this major expansion taking place?
The Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth broke ground in December of 2023 on this $80 million project. By the end of the year, the equivalent of three football fields worth of attractions will be ready for visitors to enjoy.
What does the expansion include?
The new expansion will add 140,000 square feet and include 16 new water attractions, a laser tag arena, a mini-bowling center, and much more. Check out the time frame of openings for the new projects below:
- Now Open:
- The massive new laser tag arena.
- Opening in Spring 2024:
- Three-Story Rope Course
- Skyscraper Rock Climbing Walls
- Rockin N' Roll Mini Bowling
- Opening in Fall 2024:
- 16 new waterslides including body slides, tube slides, and more.
- Indoor Not So Lazy River
- Michigan's First Swim-Up Bar
- Glass walls and roof that will allow for year-round tanning.
- Private Cabanas
- Huge Rip Roaring Wave Pool
