This Is Michigan’s Most Expensive Restaurant
Come hungry and with a lot of cash.
If you have to ask how much something is on the menu at Michigan's most expensive restaurant, you probably can't afford it. All kidding aside, you have to ask. I don't know about the actual menus at this pricey place but there are no prices listed on the online menu.
Upon further digging, I did find out courtesy of Love Food, that a 6oz wagyu strip steak will set you back $185. A porterhouse is $155, and the Dover sole is $80. What the heck is a Dover sole? According to Google, a Dover sole is a right-eyed flatfish featuring a side mouth. Apparently (also according to Google), it has its mouth on the left side, as do all true members of the sole family feature a left-side mouth. The more you know.
So where is this swanky steak house with side-mouthed fish? Prime + Proper is located on Griswold Street in Detroit. Plan on roughly a one-hour drive from the Flint or Lapeer area.
The menu at Prime + Proper also features lobster, lamb chops, escargot, oysters, and caviar. Entrees include salmon, a whole fried chicken, and most likely one of the best burgers you will ever have.
