Life of the rich and famous is something most of us will never get to experience. Fancy cars, gigantic mansions, and a bank account that has a lot of zeros on the end are all things that seem like a distant dream. However, for some, this extravagant lifestyle is a reality.

While many people are born into wealth, others start from the bottom and work their way to the top. It’s those self-made success stories that we tend to respect the most. However, being one of the wealthiest women isn't a bad deal no matter how you look at it. As for Michigan’s richest women, their paths couldn’t be more different. One built an empire from humble beginnings, while the other inherited her wealth and continues to grow it.

Earlier this year, Forbes released its list of the richest people in America. On that list, we find two of the state's richest women.

Who are the Two Richest Women in Michigan in 2024?

It probably won’t surprise Michigan residents that, as of 2024, Marian Ilitch is the second richest woman in the state. At 91 years old, Marian Ilitch and her late husband Mike, who passed in 2017, co-founded Little Caesars Pizza in 1959. Ilitch comes in at #338 on the Forbes 400 list with a net worth of $3.9B.
