New Closure Alert At Genesee Valley Center In Flint Township

Genesee Valley Center in Flint Township is losing another store.

This closure marks the end of all mall food spots. After Saturday, May 10, 2025, Genesee Valley will have no food vendors left.

Unfortunately, the news of another closure does not come as a surprise. Genesee Valley Center has faced several store closures in recent years, including Buckle, BoxLunch, and most recently, Macy's.

Currently, JCPenney is the only anchor store at Genesee Valley Center. The mall faces additional challenges due to infrastructure problems, including several water main breaks that have resulted in temporary closures.

What storefront is closing next at Genesee Valley Center?

I was told yesterday that Auntie Anne's Pretzels' last day at Genesee Valley Center is tomorrow, Saturday, May 10th, 2025.

The hardest part of yet another closure at the once-popular shopping center is that people are losing their jobs. We truly wish the best for everyone involved.

If my count is accurate, only 20 stores now remain at Genesee Valley Center. You can view which stores are still operating at the mall in the photo gallery below.

There has been speculation and countless rumors about the fate of Genesee Valley Center, but nothing concrete.
