Thanksgiving Day is upon us. That means family (like it or not) food and Football.

This year it is more than just that for sneakerheads like me. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of when Barry Sanders retired from the game of football, Nike is going to release the shoe that Sanders wore during his record-breaking season in 1997. The Zoom Turf 97 and these boys are sick.

Only 2,053 pairs will be released to the public matching the yards gained by Sanders in 1997. Sanders will be an honorary captain for the game against the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day and will be wearing the shoes on the field for the coin flip. The Nike Zoom Turf Jet 97 shoes will go on sale at the same time as the kickoff of the game at 12:30 pm.

I owned a pair of these back in the day and would still have them if it wasn't for my little brother. Thanks, Sean. The shoes will retail at nike.com for $150 there will also be some at the game in the pro shop for $179.
