The petition urges people behind the making of the film to look beyond Canadian tax breaks and do something in the city that's been through so much already.

I personally can stand behind this petition, so I signed it. I feel like it's a slap in the face of all of the residents of Flint who have dealt with this crisis for over 1,000 days and will continue dealing with it for an unknown amount of time. The film will be for Lifetime TV and will star Queen Latifah and Jill Scott to name a few. The petition is directed at Storyline Entertainment, Lifetime, Sony TV and director Bruce Beresford. Tax break or not, there is no way to duplicate the vibe of Flint. To check out the petition, click here.
