Plane Crash In Howell Injures New York Business Man
The icy conditions not only caused a problem on the roads, but on some runways too. A 60-year-old business man was injured when his private jet slip off the runway at small airport in Howell.
After sliding off the runway, the wings of the plane were ripped off and then caught fire. Bystanders, including Howell's mayor, rush in to pull the man from the plane.
The pilot suffered some injuries to his back and is recovering at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. The business man, Peter Zeliff of Batavia, was in town picking up supplies for his shoe company.
