Police Identify Michigan Teen Suspect In Mosque Fire

Over the weekend, a fire destroyed the Islamic Center of Ypsilanti. In the investigation, authorities have identified a 16-year-old boy as the suspect.

After looking at the evidence and other information, police are not classifying this as a hate crime. Police were joined by the F.B.I. and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to investigate the mosque fire. These authorities have also connected the boy to a house fire back in February.

The teen has been release from jail as charges in the fires are now pending.
