Scooters Bar & Grill is hosting a fundraiser to help a White Lake native AFT racer.

Patrick Buchanan is a racer on the super-competitive American Flat Track circuit and is a sponsored rider of Scooters Bar & Grill. Back 2002, a non-racing-related injury forced Buchanan into early retirement. After 20 years on hiatus, the White Lake, Michigan native returned to the AFT Pro circuit to compete. Just recently, Patrick was injured during the Volusia Flat Track race and ended up losing two fingers on his left hand. However, that injury is not stopping him from chasing his life-long goal of making it on the podium.

Now, Scooters Bar & Grill is getting ready to host a fundraiser for #71 to help with his future American Flat Track races. The $12 dinner will take place this Sunday, April 18th from 1 pm until 6 pm. The dinner will include smoked brisket, baked beans, potato salad, vegetable, and salad. The fundraiser will also feature a silent auction, raffles, and giveaways throughout the day. So support local and stop out to Scooters this weekend!

Scooters Bar and Grill is also home to a number of other awesome things during the week. Every Tuesday night you can join me, Chris Monroe, as I host My Trivia Live from 7 pm until 9 pm. The top three winning teams win Scooters gift cards and it is absolutely free to play. Scooters is also home to live music every Friday and Saturday throughout the summer. This Friday, April 16th, Jason Pyzik and The Brotherhood return, and on Saturday, April 17th, Cover Junkies take the stage. The live music starts at 7 pm both nights.
