It was a scary day on the lake for boaters over the weekend when a seaplane crashed into a boat.

The crash took place on Saturday on Upper Straits Lake which left minor injuries for boaters and the pilot of a seaplane that was simply trying to land on the water.

According to The Detroit Free Press, The accident happened about 5 p.m. near the Orchard Lake Nature Sanctuary, which is at Pontiac Trail and Old Orchard Trail. The seaplane was trying to land on the lake when it hit the boat near a sand bar. One person was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the pilot and passengers on the boat had minor injuries.

I've seen reports that say one boat was hit and others that say multiple boats were hit. In the video above it looks as if only one boat was hit but I'm not 100% sure.

I can't imagine chillin' on a boat at a sand bar when all of a sudden a plane comes crashing into you. All those involved are extremely lucky as this could have been a much uglier situation.
