Shinedown, Theory, Pop Evil to Play Michigan Concert This Summer
It's been a long time since I've been able to tell you about an upcoming concert that's coming to Michigan.
Shinedown, Theory of a Deadman, and Pop Evil will be performing an outdoor concert together at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort this summer.
The show is set to take place on August 6, 2021, in Mt. Pleasant. Pre-sale tickets are happening now, general tickets will become available this Saturday at 9 am. Ticket prices range from $24-$62 depending on your section
Shinedown posted the announcement on their Facebook page and said it was a "socially distanced" show, but I'm not sure exactly what that means. The only thing that Soaring Eagle says is that masks will be mandatory and there will be temperature checks but nothing about it being a socially "distanced concert."
A lot can change between now and August but I feel like that show is far enough out that it will actually happen. At least, that's what I'm hoping for. Singer Brent Smith is kind of feeling the same according to Loudwire.
The biggest thing is we need to be able to trust the medical community, trust the people to get us through this. But as far as touring is concerned, we're locking in. Fingers crossed, we're gonna be doing shows — full Shinedown — hopefully by August of this year.
Shinedown is currently working on their next album with hopes to have it out sometime after the summer.
Megadeth and Lamb of God are also expected to perform this summer at Soaring Eagle as well.
