Ex-Five Finger Death Punch Guitarist Jason Hook’s New Band Leads New 2023 ShipRocked Additions
UPDATE (July 21, 2022): The 2023 ShipRocked lineup continues to expand. Among the new additions for the rock and metal cruise are Afterlife, Islander, Jeris Johnson, Lacey Sturm, Memphis May Fire and The Standstills. Plus, Hook, the new band featuring former Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook, will make their debut on the cruise. Other newly added performers include Andy Wood, Aranda, Davey Suicide, Keith Wallen of Breaking Benjamin, and Sahaj Ticotin of RA. Plus, The Stowaways all-star band now includes Alecia "Mixi” Demner (Stitched Up Heart), Andy Wood, Angela Lese (former The Dead Deads), Carly Smithson (We Are The Fallen), Chad Nicefield (former Wilson), Corey Glover (Living Colour), Craig Mabbitt (Escape The Fate / The Dead Rabbitts), Dameon & Gabe Aranda (Aranda), Davey Suicide, David Ellefson (Dieth, former Megadeth), Emily Armstrong (Dead Sara), Hyro The Hero, Joey Morrow (Badflower), Keith Wallen (Breaking Benjamin), Leo Moracchioli (Frog Leap Studios), Randy Blythe (Lamb of God), Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, and Sahaj Ticotin (RA) all taking part. UPDATE (June 13, 2022): Parkway Drive have just been revealed as co-headliner for the ShipRocked 2023 festival cruise. It will be the Australian metalcore band's first American performance since 2019. Falling in Reverse were revealed as the other ShipRocked 2023 headliner last month.
Parkway Drive said, "After the last couple of years of chaos, we can't wait to share this unique experience with our fans, cruising and exploring one of the most beautiful parts of the planet by day and smashing the stage by night. We're so stoked this is happening and we'll see everyone on deck!”
Last month, Parkway Drive assured their fans they're "here to stay" after canceling their North American tour this spring and hinting at internal band issues in a statement. Read about the initial ShipRocked 2023 announcement from May below.
The initial lineup has been announced for ShipRocked 2023. The rock music festival at sea takes place Jan 22-28. The first headliner revealed is Falling in Reverse. A second, still-to-be-named act will join them at the top of the bill in an announcement next month.
The "ultimate rock cruise" departs from Port Canaveral, Florida, and stops at Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, Grand Turk in Turks & Caicos and Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.
Also set to appear are Nothing More, Skillet, Suicidal Tendencies, Motionless In White, Grandson and Ayron Jones, among others. This premiere rock music vacation will also have themed nights and artist-hosted events and activities throughout its voyage.
Even more bands on this year's lineup for ShipRocked are Bad Omens, Bones UK, BRKN LOVE, D.R.U.G.S., Dropout Kings, Fame on Fire, Giovannie and the Hired Guns, Nonpoint, Nova Twins, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Wage War, Wargasm, Zero 9:36 and The Stowaways, which is festival's resident all-star band.
