You know when you feel like you need to listen to some really angry tunes for cathartic release? Slipknot should be your go-to artist, according to a new report by TickX.

Dubbed "The Ultimate Playlist for Every Mood," TickX gathered Spotify data through Playlist Miner at the end of October and curated a set of artists, songs and genres for the moods happy, sad, sexy, love, angry and chill. The statistics were drawn from a variety of playlists that featured those six moods as key words.

Slipknot was ranked the top artists to listen to when you're angry, which probably doesn't come as a surprise to Maggots... because the lyrics "Fuck it all / fuck this world" didn't already give that away. Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold were the following artists listed in the category.

The Knot's popular tracks "Duality" and "Before I Forget" were both listed in the Top 5 angriest songs as well, but Disturbed's "Down With the Sickness" took the lead in that group. Alternative Metal was listed as the angriest genre, followed by dance pop, emo, dark trap and Detroit hip-hop.

Not surprisingly, metal artists and songs only appeared in the "angry" section. The findings defined angry music as having averages of 130 BPM, a valence score — or level of positivity — of 49, a danceability score of 54, an energy score of 86, being 226 seconds in length and released in 2007.
