The Burton zoning board voted to rezone part of Southmoor from "general business" to "light industrial." This means that Southmoor will be able to use 37 acres to grow commercial medical marijuana.

The $59 million investment could mean 300 jobs for the area. Next, the new proposal will go to the planning commission. If it passes there, it will go in front of the full city council.
