Attention Michigan Starbucks fans. The coffee house giant is rolling out changes at all locations in the Great Lakes State.

Full disclosure, these new rules will most likely not affect you directly.

Do you ever visit Starbucks to use the restroom, or to sit inside, without ordering anything? Chances are the answer is no, as in never.

Consider yourself marked safe from Starbucks changes if that is indeed the case.

However, if you go to Starbucks for the restrooms or to hang out only, then your days are numbered.

Starbucks will be closing doors on its open-door policy. So what does that mean exactly? Guests will no longer be able to pop in to use a restroom, or to lounge at Starbucks without ordering something.

The changes at Starbucks will be nationwide, not just in Michigan.

According to CBS News, Starbucks is also implementing a new code of conduct in all United States locations. The code of conduct consists of common sense rules, including the following,

  • No Discrimination
  • No Harassment
  • No Alcohol
  • No Panhandling
  • No Smoking
  • No Vaping

As I said, most people with common sense follow these guidelines already. If you don't, you have been warned.

Now that we are all clear on the changes at Starbucks, is anyone else craving a mocha latte ice beverage right about now?
