A teacher at Belleville High School was attacked by a student, and the incident was captured on video.

The video was posted online yesterday, Wednesday, December 10th, 2026. The high school is located at 501 West Columbia Avenue in Belleville.

After Metro Detroit News released the video on their social media accounts, it immediately started circulating across the internet. As you can imagine, the post is now going viral and attracting thousands of views, comments, and shares.

According to MDN, the school district released the following statement,

A terrible incident happened yesterday that involved a student attacking a teacher in the classroom. This incident was disturbing. Our teachers pride themselves on our amazing student body. This is not who we are as a District. This behavior is not tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly.

The video is posted below. In the recording, you can see someone, maybe another student, stepping in at one point and pulling the assailant away from the teacher.

No additional information has been released as of now. We will certainly keep you updated if and when more details are made public.

At this point, everything is still speculation, but it seems likely that the student has been suspended at the very least. Of course, that is only a guess until anything official is confirmed.
