Study Claims Michigan is the 11th Fattest State in America
Okay Michiganders, it's time to put the fork down and get on a diet because Michigan just became the 11th fattest state in America.
According to MLive, a recent study compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 29 key metrics including obese and overweight population share, sugary-beverage consumption among adolescents and obesity-related health care costs.
The report also claims that 82.1 million Americans aged 6 and older were completely inactive in 2018. Lack of physical activity is a leading cause of obesity, in addition to genetics, emotional instability and sleeplessness.
I've been trying so hard to keep my weight down and have done a decent job over the last year as I was able to lose nearly 20 pounds. Keeping that weight off is the biggest challenge because I freaking love to eat. My biggest problem isn't necessarily what I eat, it's the amount that I eat. I can't sit and have a piece of pizza, I have to cram at least five pieces down my throat.
Hey, at least we're not Mississippi who are sitting on top as the fattest state in the country.
